More than 100 volunteers from Give & Grow (employees and family members from C&D Zodiac) will converge at Salk Elementary School in the Magnolia School District for a day-long “extreme makeover” of the campus. The ambitious project includes the construction of an educational garden; painting colorful outdoor murals; re-striping asphalt play areas; and building of back pack carts for each classroom. The new garden includes such features as California native plants, composting areas and seating area for class instructions. Within nine hours, the school will undergo a dramatic facelift to welcome students to an exciting learning environment.
