In the spring of 2008 Give & Grow Santa Maria collaborated with Liberty Elementary School on a tutoring Science Fair program. Throughout the spring G&G "Professors" including Carissa Anders, James Bendixen, Tony Guy, Elizabeth Huber, Rosie Jimenez, Jennifer Baer-Montejano, Gena Simpson, Kara Roberts, Jason Stuffel, Dayanara Velasquez, Nicholas Walter, and Matt Weber worked with the students to create innovative science projects.

Students got to work with G&G volunteers on projects like Solar/Fuel Cell cars, Archimedes Screw and others. At the end of the session, Liberty School put on a science fair for parents to show off their students' achievements. It was a great success. Liberty Principal, Dr. Jamie LeBlanc, commented that the science fair turnout was the best they had seen in recent events.
