The inaugural Give & Grow Summer Games was a huge success! Held at the sporting complex at C&D Zodiac's Ontario facility over 500 competitors and their friends and family competed in over 12 different events. Participants included not only C&D Zodiac employees from all 5 Southern California facilities, Santa Maria and Mexico but also adults and children from the local community.

Events included: Carnival games for the kids, sumo suit wrestling, slip and slide, tug of war, the Willie Bell Fitness Challenge, volleyball, ping pong, Guitar Hero, foosball, soccer and basketball. C&D Mexico came away victorious in both the basketball and soccer tournaments winning a large cash prize for their efforts.

The GGG helped to raise awareness about what Give and Grow is and does and directly benefited the Montclair High School women's basketball team. The Montclair High girls worked hard running the various games and the coaches even helped to referee some of the basketball games.
Along with involving the local high school the GGG partnered with the YMCA, local mentoring programs and the city of Ontario to promote the day as a way for kids and adults to have fun in a competitive environment while building self esteem and keeping kids active.

The 2008 Give & Grow Games brought a diverse group of people together to have a fun day of competition and sport while benefiting children in the local community. We look forward to next year's event!
