On May 3rd, 2012. 100 employees from C&D Zodiac in Montreal descended upon St Paul Elementary for the day for a schoolyard restoration. This is our first build in Montreal and we are proud of the hard work and dedication that all the employees gave on that day. In one day we were able to construct a playground, paint 2 murals, 12 boards (4ft by 4ft) which are for inside the school – themed – back to school – Halloween, Valentine – spring. Clean up all around the school yard. There were two large bins that were full to the top from all the branches and underbrush that we cleaned up.
Also completed was a new crest and sign for the front of the school and we painted the roof were there was all kinds of graffiti. A garden box was build (unplanned) by our curbing team.
Finally we were able to create a whole new area for the kindergarten classes, the trees were trimmed, a new fence was built and the area was repaved – all donated by some of our local suppliers.
We are looking forward to our next build in 2013.
